A frustration turned into a project
Card Shows Nearby was started by a group of card collectors who were tired of outdated, clunky websites that made it harder than it should be to do the thing they loved most — the hobby. Digging through broken listings and dead links just to find a local show shouldn't be part of collecting.
That frustration turned into an opportunity: build something better. Easier navigation, more reliable information, and — for the organizers running these shows — real insights to help them grow their events and reach more collectors.

We wanted something that grows with the people actually running and attending these shows — so organizers can list, claim, and manage their own events directly, and collectors get features that keep pace with how they actually collect: saved shows, followed organizers, category browsing, and a newsletter that only shows up when there's something worth knowing.
